Season Over for Clint Drake in Kansas City
Monday, August 6th, 2029
When Clint Drake was hurt against the Chicago (A) White Sox, the Kansas City Royals were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 31-year-old closer suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Drake would miss 4 months of the season.

For the year Drake has 14 saves. In 35 relief appearances he has hurled 35 innings, fanned 39 and issued 11 walks with a 2-4 record. The Kansas City reliever has recorded a 4.37 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .264 when he is on the hill.
