Minnesota Loses Ben Lester for Season
Tuesday, July 29th, 2031
The doctors have spoken and Ben Lester of the Minnesota Twins didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lester sustained his season-ending injury during the Chicago (A) White Sox game yesterday at U.S. Cellular Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Minnesota medical staff reported Lester had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.

This year Lester has a 2-6 record with a 3.88 ERA.
