Injury Sidelines Robby Flowers For Year
Saturday, September 29th, 2029
Texas starting pitcher Robby Flowers could miss the remainder of the season because of biceps tendinitis. He exited yesterday's Oakland game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Flowers would be out 2 weeks. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

So far this season, Flowers has logged a 21-6 record with a 3.10 ERA. He has started 34 games, hurled 243.2 innings and registered 248 strikeouts and 32 walks.
