Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl

Sancho Morán of Mexico City and Ron Stonge of Arizona were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Morán will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Stonge was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.
This season Morán has delivered 132 hits in 433 at-bats for a .305 average with 37 home runs. He is getting on base at a .400 clip and his totals also include 98 RBIs and 95 runs scored. This year Morán has played in 112 games.
This season Stonge has compiled a 3-7 mark, 3.25 ERA and made 19 starts.
