Atlanta Beats Oakland in World Series Monday, November 1st, 2027 A celebratory mood filled the air as the Atlanta Braves closed out the season with a 12-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics at O.co Coliseum to capture the World Series, 4-3. Giving the Athletics credit for a hard-fought series, Braves players said they believed throughout the postseason that their "destiny" was to be crowned TheShow champions. "We felt like this was our year all season long," said first baseman Jake Lee, who was named series MVP. "It was our destiny to win it and we did." It was the 1st in franchise history. During the National League Eastern Division regular season Atlanta put up a 110-52 record and finished first. "They're the champions and they deserve it," said a dejected Oakland manager Mike Leitao.
