The Everton beat the Chelsea, 8-5, at Stamford Bridge. Dylan Prisk, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with 4 singles. The winner was Everton reliever Ewan Marfell, now 2-0. The loser was Alberto De La Torre. Everton is now 23-27, Chelsea 17-33.

Everton used a clutch hit from Jim Snider to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Everton ahead, 8-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Prisk told the Everton Daily News.
