Athletic Bilbao Rally For 2-0 Win
|
The Athletic Bilbao beat the Villarreal, 2-0. Athletic Bilbao pitcher and Santa Eulalia del Río, Spain, native Juan Sánchez led the way. Villarreal is 2-1 after the defeat.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Isidoro Pérez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2053 draft, hit a double. The Athletic Bilbao went on to win.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Sánchez said.
