Raucous Kauffman Stadium Crowd Propels Royals to 9-4 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Royals beat the Reds, 9-4, at Kauffman Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Kansas City center fielder Juan Esquivel was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 runs.

Ramon Laureano, the Kansas City right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 6-2, Royals. For the game, Laureano went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Esquivel, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
