Twins Heading to World Series
|
The Minnesota Twins bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship.
Minnesota downed the New York Yankees 4-3 tonight at Target Field, to take the League Championship Series 4-2.
"It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Miguel Ruiz, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Major League Baseball."
For the series, Ruiz had 6 hits for .333, with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
