Gonzalez Blasts Mets, Pirates Take Game 3, 9-5
The Pittsburgh Pirates have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading New York Mets, winning 9-5 at Citi Field today. Pirates shortstop Jacob Gonzalez went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the Pirates to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The Pirates took a 4-1 lead in the top of the third inning. Facing New York hurler Kevin Gausman with no outs, Gonzalez hit a 2-run home run.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Gonzalez.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citi Field in New York.
