The Kansas City Royals went down to defeat to Jhoan Duran and his Minnesota teammates. The final score was 6-0 in favor of the Twins. Duran went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-6. The victory gives Minnesota a record of 44-43.

The Twins got an important contribution from first baseman José Miranda, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 2-2 changeup into right-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Twins ahead, 2-0.
