Thrilling Win Pushes Kansas City to Next Round
The seasons of the Kansas City Royals and the Tampa Bay Rays hung in the balance, with a one-game showdown at Kauffman Stadium to decide who would play in the Division Series.

When the game came to an end, it was Kansas City making it out of the Wild Card Game, with a 8-4 win, while Tampa Bay players could not hide the disappointment on their faces.

"Celebrating a series win is always exciting, whether it's a one-game playoff or a series that goes the distance," said Jose Rojas, who went 3-for-4 to earn game MVP honors. "The guys in the room are happy with this one."

It's now on to the Division Series, where Rojas said "expectations will still be sky-high" as the club looks to keep moving forward.

The Kansas City Royals will play against the Detroit Tigers in the next round. Detroit had a bye in the Wild Card Game. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on October 12th , 2023. \n
