Yankees Score Late, Topple Angels, 4-3
|
New York Yankees starter Franklin Corniel was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Los Angeles Angels, 4-3. New York is 66-51 and Los Angeles, with the loss, 56-60.
New York used a clutch hit from Aaron Judge to get the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're one win closer to our goal," Judge said in postgame remarks.
