Fine Effort by Castellanos Not Enough in 8-6 Reds Loss
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Nick Castellanos, the Cincinnati Reds lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-6. Castellanos belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Pittsburgh has now won 3 straight, while the Reds have lost 3 in a row.

Pittsburgh needed the clutch hitting of Jacob Gonzalez to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pirates on top, 8-6. For the game, Gonzalez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Pirates manager Phil Pirates. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
