Reimer Leads Guardians to Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds.
The Cleveland Guardians beat the Cincinnati Reds, 6-4, at Progressive Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Jacob Reimer, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Chris Buzzard got credit for the win, improving to 16-11. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings. Mike Weimer picked up his 29th save of the season.
Early in the game, Reimer had a 3-run home run for Cleveland. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Guardians on top, 3-0.
Reimer called the win "an overall solid one."
The last-place Guardians lifted their record to 71-87.
