RedLeafs Slip Past San Jose, 3-2
|
Toronto right-hander Dwain Hoyt helped his team edge San Jose by the score of 3-2 in 12 innings. Hoyt kept the opposing lineup in check. With the win, the RedLeafs hiked their record to 81-36.
Toronto needed the clutch hitting of Hotha Chatuluku to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the RedLeafs on top, 3-2. For the game, Chatuluku had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Chatuluku. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
