|
New Orleans VooDoo starter Dan Denville was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Houston Space Dragons, 4-1. Denville, now 13-4, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Picking up the save was Lao-sheng Yei. He's now 2 for 3 in save chances.
The VooDoo got a big at-bat from designated hitter Álex Soto. For the game, Soto was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 49th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 2-0 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Soto told the New Orleans Gazette.
With the win, the VooDoo sit at 81-42.
