Storm Win Nail-Biter
|
No one was more impactful than Dennis Best in the 3-2 San Juan win over New York. Best, who finished 2nd in the PL in triples with 8 in 2046, slugged 2 home runs. The winner was San Juan reliever Hiang-ta Fou, now 3-2. The loser was Paco García. At 66-69, the Storm are currently last in the Players League Atlantic Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Best hit a slider from Paco García for a solo home run. The Storm, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Best said.
