Blizzard Topple Lions, 4-3, as López Shines

The Green Bay Blizzard defeated the Kingston Lions, 4-3. Doing his part was designated hitter Carlos López, who slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Green Bay reliever Manuel Manuel picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ramón Villegas shouldered the loss. The save went to Vladimir Stambolic, number 34 for him.
López had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 cutter from Ramón Villegas, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Blizzard a 4-3 lead. It was the 27th home run of the year for López.
"We ground out the win," said López. "That's all that matters."
The Blizzard now own a record of 71-77.
