Colonials Squelch Giants Offense in Shutout Win
|
Boston starter Lourdes Castro put a stranglehold on the New York offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Colonials to a 5-0 win. Boston now has a record of 94-60 with the win.
Boston relied on the bat of Daniel Metson to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Colonials ahead, 4-0. For the game, Metson had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Luck is a dividend of sweat," said Metson. "The more you sweat, the luckier you get."
