van Aalst goes 4-for-4, Leads Lions to Win
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Vince van Aalst, the Kingston Lions defeated the New Orleans VooDoo, 12-6. van Aalst was 4-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 3 for the Lions. Wayne Smith, the winner, improved to 7-8. He held the VooDoo to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The Lions are now 51-63.

Kingston used the hitting of Randy Organ to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lions on top, 3-0. For the game, Organ had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
