Rodríguez Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Tuesday, July 4th , 2051 The number just keeps getting higher. Washington shortstop Paco Rodríguez has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Washington won the game, 6-5, over the St. Paul Saints at General Mills Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" St. Paul manager El Generico Jr. said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Paco Rodríguez grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
