Sweet Swing, Sweet Month for Rookie Sweeney Saturday, August 1st , 2048 Jake Sweeney's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young San Jose center fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In July he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .353 with 6 doubles, 3 triples and 6 home runs. Sweeney also scored 15 times and drove in 25 runs. This year Sweeney is hitting .241 with 9 home runs. |
