Mavericks Bill Boswell Will Miss Season
Saturday, September 5th , 2048
Portland shortstop Bill Boswell could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured finger tendon. He exited yesterday's Vancouver game after injuring himself while throwing the ball. The original diagnosis said Boswell would be out 3 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

So far this season Boswell is batting .254 with 10 home runs, 53 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 393 at-bats, 50 walks and a .342 OBP. Boswell has played in 121 games.
