RedLeafs Capture Players League Northern Division Wednesday, September 23rd , 2048 They may have won the Players League Northern Division easily, but that didn't stop members of the Toronto RedLeafs from celebrating joyously when the clinch became official. "It doesn't matter if you're one game ahead, or 100 games ahead, it still feels amazing to be division champs, especially in the Players League Northern Division," said closer Dwain Hoyt. "This is where you want to be from the get go when you start each year." The smiles on the faces of the Toronto players stretched ear-to-ear as they embraced each other in bear hugs, while yelling, singing, chanting and even drinking in their clubhouse, late into the night. It is the 34th division title for the club and they will now be vying for the 10th Union League Baseball championship in team history. |
