Bulls Score Late, Upend Narwhals, 6-3
|
The Barcelona Bulls topped the Reykjavik Narwhals, 6-3, in Western League action at Laugardalur Leikvangur. The standout performance belonged to Barcelona pitcher and Taipei, Taiwan, native Dong-hua Chew. Picking up the save was Ekewaka Kuahine, his 1st. With the win, Barcelona goes to 1-5.
Barcelona used a timely hit from Duecha Adegoke to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bulls ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Adegoke.
