The Macon Bacon had to overcome a fine performance from Dallas pitcher Sergio Tavares to grab a 3-2 win at Tornado Alley Park. Tavares allowed 3 runs over 7.2 innings. The win belongs to Teruhide Ogawa in relief. His record improves to 5-8. Sergio Tavares took the loss for Dallas. The win lifted the Macon record to 85-53.

The result might have been different for Macon, had it not been for Carlos Sanchez, the 26-year old second baseman . Sanchez stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Macon up, 3-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Sanchez told the Macon Times.
