Tigres Hammered by Delgado, Drop Game 1 to Horsemen
The Omaha Horsemen got a critical win in the first game of the Semifinals today and did so in dramatic fashion, topping the host Santiago Tigres by the score of 7-5 in the 13th inning at SD Field. Horsemen left fielder Jose Delgado was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Now holding a 1-0 lead, the Horsemen will have two chances to close out the Tigres.

Omaha used a clutch hit from Julian Parra to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Horsemen ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Omaha manager Jimmy Schwarz said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at SD Field in Santiago.
