Drakon Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 4th , 2053 The mood in the Hastings Drakon clubhouse was noticeably subdued today, as the club's fate on the season was officially sealed -- they will miss the postseason. "We put ourselves in this position," said Drakon reliever Timoteo Meera. "Nobody to blame but us." The Drakon have missed the playoffs 29 times in their 37 years as a USBL Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2051. In the last 10 seasons, the Drakon have missed the playoffs 5 times. Hastings last won the World Series in 2048. |
