Angels Move on to League Championship Series
|
The joy and relief on the faces of the Los Angeles A (DSL) Angels players was obvious as they celebrated their Division Series win over the Miami (DSL) Marlins.
"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Los Angeles A (DSL) shortstop Jeremy Rodriguez, shortly after the 8-0 win that clinched the series 3-2. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."
The team is now off to the League Championship Series.
Rodriguez won series MVP honors on the strength of his .455 batting average during the series. He also had a .500 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Los Angeles A (DSL) Angels will play against the Detroit (DSL) Tigers in the next round. Detroit (DSL) won their series against the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
