Los Angeles Gets 4-2 Win
|
The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-2, in National League action at American Family Field. Los Angeles pitcher Yu Darvish had a standout performance. Darvish got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Darvish allowed 2 runs. Collin McHugh converted his 14th save in 16 tries.
Yohel Pozo, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pozo contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-0.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Darvish, "and go after the next one."
The Angels sport a record of 27-42.
