Franklin Arias exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Tower Complex.

The Milwaukee (DSL) shortstop had a field day in the 21-3 triumph over the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals, finishing 5-for-6.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Arias must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Franklin Arias singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jhon Medina in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 8th.

Looking at his present stats, Arias has compiled a .362 batting average in 55 games with a .399 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 20 runs.
