Nicasia Goes on Rampage Against Blue Pirates
Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates third baseman Kaylan Nicasia had a day to remember at Pittsburgh Pirates Complex today, ripping apart the Toronto (DSL) Blue Pirates and sparking the Pirates to a 20-6 victory.

Nicasia wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Nicasia told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Kaylan Nicasia hit a two-run home run off Brailyn Paulino in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and flied out in the 7th.

To date, Nicasia has collected 20 hits for a .408 average. He has posted 7 home runs, scored 17 runs and driven in 15 runs.
