The manager of the Coacalco Lords said he thinks Christian Encarnacion-Strand is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the third baseman's 2023 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Caribbean Winter League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .323 batting average and a .376 on-base percentage this year. In 49 games he piled up 62 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 11 home runs, 40 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
Stone Tops Caribbean Winter League Pitchers Sunday, February 11th , 2024
The Licey Sound Tigers have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Gavin Stone, this year's Caribbean Winter League Best Pitcher selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
Stone compiled a 7-1 record in 9 starts, tallied 72 strikeouts in 71.1 innings and recorded a 2.27 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .219 batting average against him.
