Early Season End for Herget

Obviously disappointed, Kevin Herget confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Salt Lake reliever offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 33-year-old Herget suffered a torn labrum on 06/04/2024 and has been out of action since.
In 6 relief appearances this season, Herget has no saves. He has 1 win and 1 loss, 3.24 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 25 innings.

Injury Sidelines Milburn for Season
Wednesday, June 5th , 2024
Team officials for the Omaha Storm Chasers confirmed that shoulder inflammation will force Matt Milburn to miss the rest of the season. Milburn sustained the injury on 06/04/2024. It remains to be seen who will replace Milburn on the active roster.
To date this year Milburn has fashioned a 7.20 ERA over 10 innings with a 0-1 record. He has made 5 relief appearances with 5 strikeouts and no saves.

Chiefs End Munguia's Streak

The 24-game hitting streak of Ismael Munguia has come to an end. The Durham Bulls left fielder went 0-for-3 today in his team's 2-0 loss to the Syracuse Chiefs at Copper Kings Ballpark.
"It's not just Ismael who came up short today," Bulls manager Frank Kremblas said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss."
Munguia is presently hitting at a .211 pace with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He has played in 5 games and scored 1 times.
