Ward Rips Toronto (GCL) for 5 Hits Monday, July 25th , 2022 Chicago N (AZL) Cubs first baseman Dan Ward went 5-for-6 today and paced Chicago N (AZL) to a 30-7 victory over the Toronto (GCL) Blue Pirates at Champion Stadium. "Well, that was fun," Ward said following the game. Dan Ward struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Colie Currie in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Dominguez in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
