Campbell's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, August 3rd , 2024 Kristian Campbell extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Washington (GCL) 6-4 triumph over the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals. The 22-year-old Nationals shortstop collected 2 hits in 6 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Kristian Campbell singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and flied out in the 10th. So far this year Campbell is batting .339 with 4 home runs. |
