5 Hits for Swamp Dogs Finol Tuesday, June 6th , 2023 It was high-fives all around for Claudio Finol at Kelowna Grounds today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Fairview (Dutchess County) Lakers. Finol smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 8-7 win. "Claudio was hitting everything," said Swamp Dogs manager Matt Siegel. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Lakers manager Dave Roberts told BNN beat writers that Finol "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Finol oversleeps next time." Claudio Finol singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This year Finol is batting .398 with 5 home runs and 41 RBIs.
