Nelson Baffles Colon Batters
|
It wasn't easy but Chris Nelson made it look that way.
Nelson silenced the Colon Scallywags, 4-0, in a Managua Lagoon Monsters triumph at Monsters Ball Yard. Despite the appearance of dominance, Nelson said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 6 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
So far this year, Nelson has 7 wins and 1 loss and a 2.50 ERA.
