Barker Excels in 10-5 Milwaukee Win
|
Milwaukee and Philadelphia got after it at Veterans Stadium 1971.
Milwaukee left fielder Kevin Barker had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Philadelphia Phillies, 10-5. The Brewers have now won 4 straight.
Early in the game, third baseman Scott Spiezio had a 3-run home run for Milwaukee. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Brewers on top, 3-0.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Barker told the Milwaukee Chronicle.
