The Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Chicago White Sox, 5-4, in National League action at Comiskey Park 1969. Milwaukee pitcher and Devils Lake, North Dakota, native Rick Helling had an outstanding performance. Milwaukee reliever Darrell Higgs picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Brandon Puffer took the loss. The 32-60 White Sox have lost 13 consecutive games.

Brian Giles provided a timely hit. The Milwaukee right fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brewers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
