Hitchcock K's 12 En Route to 7-1 Brewers Win
|
Milwaukee rode a fine outing from starter Sterling Hitchcock to victory over the Montreal Expos at Milwaukee County Stadium 1976. The final score was 7-1. The win puts Milwaukee at 16-16.
The Expos had few good swings against Hitchcock, the left-hander, who threw 110 pitches over 7.2 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.
"I went after the hitters," said Hitchcock. "No pussyfooting around."
