Henry Masters Cleveland in Complete Game Win
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Arlington Stadium 1979, knocking off the Cleveland Indians, 5-2. On the mound for Texas was left-hander Butch Henry. He played a key role in the triumph. The win lifted the Texas record to 61-55.
Henry was effective for Texas, seldom allowing the Indians to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 111 pitches over 9 innings. He limited Cleveland to just 2 runs on 5 hits.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Henry.
