The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Coors Field, knocking off the Colorado Rockies, 5-2. Starting pitcher Roger Clemens was a big reason why. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Willie Castro. The Rockies fall to 9-12 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Sherman Obando? The Chicago center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Cubs on top, 1-0. For the game, Obando had 2 doubles and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Roger was able to execute his pitches," said Chicago manager Jeff Griggs. "Simple as that."
