Tampa Bay Drops Another One, 6-1
Boston Red Sox starter John Patterson found his groove in his team's 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Patterson, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Carlos Reyes notched his 1st save of the season.

Vladimir Guerrero had a big 2-run triple for the Red Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Hilly Hathaway and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 3-0.

"This game will humble you real quick," said Tampa Bay manager Roman Radmanovic.

With the loss, Tampa Bay drops to 10-21.
