Cardinals Reel In 6-2 Win
St. Louis starter Timothy Nedin pitched well against the Philadelphia Phillies at Veterans Stadium 1971. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. The last-place Cardinals improved to 14-26.

St. Louis used a clutch at-bat from Troy Glaus to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Glaus told a St. Louis Times reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
