The New York Mets topped the Colorado Rockies by a score of 6-4. Leading the way was second baseman Roberto Alomar. Alomar was 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Mets. With the win, the Mets hiked their record to 72-65.

Alomar had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 curveball from Scott Medvin, he banged a run-scoring triple to right, giving the Mets a 5-4 lead. It was the 4th triple of the year for Alomar.

"Feels good to get the job done," Alomar said after the game.
