Royals Are Champs of American League Central Division Sunday, September 23rd , 2001 The manager of the Kansas City Royals said "a lot of hard work, talent and luck" are the reasons for his team's American League Central Division championship. "This club believes in themselves and goes out and gets it done," said Gamma KC. "You can't ask for much more than that as a manager." It's the club's 4th division crown and gives them an opportunity to win the franchise's 2nd World Series. "We want that title badly," said shortstop Alex Rodriguez as he took a break from celebrating with teammates. "This is just a start." |
