Tucson Blanks Phoenix Behind Conner Thursday, September 11th , 1997 Tucson Toros fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Scott Conner blanked the Phoenix Giants, 7-0 at Hi Corbett Field today. Conner stopped them on 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 7. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Toros skipper said. "He was on top of his game in this one."
