Minor Takes Home CLL Top Batter Award Wednesday, September 1st , 1999 Ryan Minor put together a good August to earn the California League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Kane County officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Cougars third baseman posted a .378 batting average with 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and 17 runs scored. This year, Minor has hit 29 home runs and posted a .295 batting average. |
